Scope and price

Every project starts with a written proposal naming the scope, the fixed price, and the dates. Work begins once that proposal is accepted and the deposit is paid. Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted separately and only started once you have agreed to it in writing.

Payment

Projects are invoiced in two parts: fifty percent to book the work in, and fifty percent on launch. Invoices are due within fourteen days. Care plans are billed monthly in advance.

Your responsibilities

  • Providing content, images, and feedback within the agreed timescales. Delays here move the launch date rather than reducing the price.
  • Confirming that anything you supply is accurate and that you have the right to use it.

Ownership

Your domain, your content, and any third party accounts are registered in your name from the start and are yours throughout.

The site-specific code we write for you remains ours while we host and maintain the site, and you are licensed to use it for as long as you are a client. This is what allows us to fix, update, and re-deploy the site under a fixed monthly fee rather than billing for the time it takes.

If you cancel and want to take the site with you, the site-specific code and design are transferred to you on request once the account is settled, and we will help you move it. The shared platform that powers the dashboard and the hosted services is not transferred and remains ours.

Care plans

Care plans run month to month with no minimum term and can be cancelled with thirty days notice. They cover hosting, monitoring, backups, updates, and a reasonable amount of small changes. If a request is larger than that, we will tell you before doing it, not after.

Leaving

If you end the engagement, we will export your site and its data and help you move it to another provider. There is no charge for this and no period during which your site is held.

Liability

We take reasonable care, but we do not warrant that a website will be free of faults or continuously available. Our total liability in connection with a project is limited to the fees paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
